There is something to be said about the satisfaction that comes from cooking with fire. There is something very primal about the process. And there is science involved in perfecting the process to achieve a repeatable and satisfactory culinary outcome! My hobby of pizza-making the old fashion way reflects my interest in understanding processes even outside my area of research expertise.
Prepare and flatten the dough.
Place a few tablespoons of tomato sauce at the center of the dough.
Spread the sauce out evenly to the edges.
Add your favorite toppings and fresh mozzarella.
Place it in the pizza oven and wait for few minutes.
Add a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and a few fresh basil leaves. It’s done!
